W.G. Consultants remain up-to-date on current regulatory requirements and standards for Emergency Management program implementation. While assigned to supported organizations, we'll ensure clear lines of communication with the Regulatory Affairs department and perform monthly quality reviews to ensure constant compliance.

We'll work with both clinical and non-clinical staff and departments to ensure coordinated effort during mass casualty and mass fatality situations. From ambulance reception, triage algorithm selection, patient transportation operations, to environmental service procedures and morgue expansion, we'll ensure your organization is prepared.

No plan is perfect, that's why we exercise! We'll create robust exercises that build organizational confidence and identify limits or gaps in operations planning. Our approach is comprehensive utilizing the Crawl, Walk, Run methodology to improve planning & response operations.

We provide on-going management, inventory, operational checkability of all associated emergency management equipment in accordance with the program's requirements and fiscal considerations.

W.G. Consultants specializes in providing logistics planning principles in the context of emergency management. Our expertise covers a range of areas, including transportation planning, storage, material handling equipment use, hazardous material storage and shipping requirements, air transportation, and sea transportation. Transportation planning is a critical aspect of logistics, especially during emergency situations.

We'll provide operational management of grant funding in accordance with submitted narratives for funding opportunities, program deliverables and auditing requirements provided by the grant funder. Lastly, we will provide organizational leadership with strategies for appropriate use of funds to support on-going and innovative emergency management initiatives.

We provide Internal and External flood mitigation methods to include site surveys of vulnerable areas (historic & current), collaboration with internal facilities/engineering personnel to determine capital requirements for flood mitigation, and external coordination with municipality department of public works (or equivalent) to ensure flood mapping, drainage, and water infrastructure capabilities are addressed.

We'll provide operational recommendations for alternate resource identification to include alternate care sites, devolution facilities, supply chain vendors (EM & COOP specific), volunteer employment, and contractual labor forces as required.

We'll provide planning and operational implementation of total evacuation operations of the organization and its applicable facilities to ensure quality of care, continuity of operations, and continuity of service can be recovered as soon as possible. We will provide training and fiscal planning for associated equipment to support total evacuation operations that include considerations for the HCO's most critical & vulnerable patients.

We'll provide training for personnel to response to fire/smoke conditions to include identifying fire/smoke barriers, fire extinguisher use, pull stations, internal communication in accordance with organizational and NFPA standards. If required, we will conduct fire drills in accordance with local ordinance and fire code to include regulatory frequency of fire drills.

We work closely with the information technology department and the electronic medical record vendor to ensure mass casualty accounting operations are present within the organizations electronic medical record system (to include production of reports and products that facilitate inter-facility transfer of patients). This also includes mobile operability of the system.

We believe early introduction into emergency operations and management provides the best overall response to crisis. We that, we will integrate with the academic staff to ensure emergency management curriculum is introduced and delivered (by instructional systems design trained instructors) to the future leaders and operators of the healthcare organization.
